This post doesn't have anything to do with jewelry - at least not directly.
The scanner I use to photograph and catalog my collection went kaput. I ordered a new one, which arrived DOA, and I'm still fritzing around with the seller about a return. In the meantime, I'm looking at scanners again.
Technology can be incredibly frustrating. :( Balancing cost with value can be tough enough. Add to it the fact that a model that was on the manufacturer's website yesterday can be discontinued today and it's enough to drive a person to ... go shopping for more jewelry and forget about scanners.
